USPSA Launching Targeted Web Sites

logo transparent-1.gif SEDRO-WOOLLEY, WASH., – In a move that showcases the diversity and depth of practical shooting competition, the United States Practical Shooting Association (USPSA), launched three new websites: www.uspsa-nationals.org, www.nroi.org, and www.frontsightmagazine.org.

But What’s Practical Shooting?
If shooting has an “extreme” sport, practical shooting is it. Shooters move, negotiate obstacles, run, speed-reload, and drive their guns through short courses (called stages) as fast as their skills will allow. Competitors shoot outdoors, in all weather, competing against the clock to create the highest points-per-second score possible on each stage. For more check out www.uspsa.org, or any of the websites below.

  • USPSANationals.org
Find the latest updates and information on USPSA nationals venues, the availability of invitations, calls for volunteer staff, etc. If you have an interest in attending a USPSA national event (any of five pistol divisions, or our multi-gun championship) this is the site for you.

  • NROI.org
THE site for USPSA officials, NROI.org offers everything from Front Sight magazine profiles of USPSA’s Range Officer Instructors, to the latest interpretations of USPSA rules. “Hot Topic” lets range officers analyze real-world officiating problems together, with the oversight of NROI’s director, John Amidon. Lists of available training courses, even a photo gallery are here for your enjoyment.

  • FRONTSIGHTMAGAZINE.ORG
The foremost publication on practical shooting in the world, Front Sight magazine is now partially electronic. At www.frontsightmagazine.org you will find .pdf copies of the Front Sight annual, and of each cover story.

Advertising and deadline information, writer’s guidelines, and related intelligence can be found here.
